American Evaluation Association (AEA) Conference 2018

The American Evaluation Association (AEA) will hold its annual conference from October 29 - November 2, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The theme of AEA 2018 will be on 'speaking truth to power'. Professional development workshops will preceed sessions in topical interest groups. More details on the program will be announced in the coming weeks.

International Energy Policy and Programme Evaluation Conference

The International Energy Policy and Programme Evaluation Conference (IEPPEC) will be held in Vienna, Austria from June 25-27, 2018. IEPPEC seeks to connect implementers and evaluators on the federal, state, local and utility levels. Policies and programmes for energy efficiency and climate mitigation are top priorities by the EU, IEA and UN, which has resulted in growing investments in these areas. Therefore there is a need to improve the assessment of potential and actual impacts of these measures.

IPDET Returns this July

The Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) of the World Bank Group announced recently the International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET) is back with new partners: the Center for Evaluation (CEval), Germany in consortium with University of Bern, Switzerland. The 2018 program will be held during the last two weeks of July through a one-week Core Course, taught by Linda Morra and Ray Rist, followed by one week of in-depth workshops. Information about the program and registration details will be available by the end of March 2018.
